Track Name: Tradition - BARONS
Still carrying that cross, flying out that flag
For your god and your property
A gun for every hand, a bullet for every head
Burn the books we forgot how to read
Yeah everything you ever said to me, no I can’t find a reason
for anything that still makes sense
I guess they call this tradition

Hold fast, hold on
As the ship goes down
Throw the cargo overboard, we’re sinking!
Locked up, locked out
As this house burns down
And we throwaway the keys

They got us chomping at the bit, fighting over scraps
And they make it seem so natural
Selling off our time, selling off our pasts
So we forget about the people saying “No!”
Yeah everything you ever said to me, no I can’t find a reason
for anything that still makes sense
I guess they call this tradition
Track Name: Lessons - BARONS
We’re all braced for dead flight with hands raised up
like paper cranes folded in too many times
We hold the shape and form but the structure’s worn and crumbling
All we used to know is etched in glass and words we spoke
All we need to know is found in maps we forged and stole
We can’t erase and rewrite on palms raised up
Our fortune lines and callouses from scarred fights
still hold the shapes we love, that we know by heart and memory
Are there lessons to be learned from this?
Instructions or some common sense?
Just arguments and confidence I’ve lost inside of me
These lessons lost on me
This lesson’s lost on me
